Manufacturing process
The product components are dosed and mixed. In the press form the fleece is provided and filled in the mixture. After pressing at elevated temperature, the plates are removed from the mold and cut.
LCA results
The LCA results include the life cycle stages of the production of primary products, mining, processing operations and input secondary materials (eg recycling processes), their transport to the factory and the production itself, including the provision of all supplies and materials, energy, and the complete waste treatment or landfilling of residual waste during the production stage. The modules A1, A2 and A3 are shown here as aggregate modules A1-A3. Background system: A portion of the released paper (75%) is burned in an incineration as well as the packaging materials (wood, PE-film and 75% of the paper). In the model, these input-specific have been taken into account and the credits from their combustion. This is possible because the credited amount is not greater than the energy-input required for the other energy supply in the production and pre-production stages. The considered energy is of the same quality.

No measurements have been made at the factory in Lauingen/Donau for phenol, formaldehyde and other organic emissions since the manufacturer has no legal obligations concerning this matter.
